Dogs

Bailey was my first dog that I got in my early twenties while living in NYC. She became my best friend and emotional support during key milestones in my life. Bailey lived to be 16-years old and it was her passing that inspired me to finally pursue my dream of writing a novel.

Cosmo was my second dog. I adopted him when he was 8 weeks old from North Shore Animal League in Long Island. Cosmo was a great companion to Bailey. He lived a good long life and passed when he was 13. I used to take Cosmo to the nursing home to visit my grandfather. All the residents liked to sit and pet him.

I love Jack Russell Terriers, and Ruby and Reya are my current dogs. They are half sisters and came from a wonderful breeder in Maine. They are super smart and super silly. Ruby is my current inspiration for the dog character, Finn in my thesis.

Oreo (left) and Rhenny (right) are the two dogs we adopted from Peak Lab Rescue. We had their DNA tested and ironically, they don’t have any lab in them! They are both hound mixes and great dogs!

Charlie is our Golden Retriever. We adopted him when he was six-months old. He will turn 6 on April 9, 2023.
